We’ve tried to think of the things you will need to make planning for staying at Re:treat much simpler. You’ll find all of the following at Re:treat as standard;
Bedrooms: Beds are made up upon arrival with fresh bed linen and hypoallergenic quilts. For chillier nights there are hot water bottles for you to use as well as a selection of snuggly blankets.
Kitchen: The kitchen is fully equipped with crockery, cutlery, standard kitchen utensils and cooking pots and pans. There is also a supply of coffee, tea, sugar and basic condiments, kitchen roll, foil and cling film as well as a stove top coffee maker and a whistling stovetop kettle. Re:treat also has a small solar powered fridge for storing chilled foods.
Fun & Games: Re:treat Glamping is really family friendly. Choose from a wide range of indoor games and board games or take your pick from the outdoor games chest of favourites including swingball, rounders & cricket. There is also a pond dipping kit for the pond and a pedal tractor and trailer for younger guests. A box of toddler books, toys and tableware are also available free on request as well as hire of a travel cot and highchair.
Towels & Toiletries: A bath towel is provided for each person staying at Re:treat. The shower room has a hand towel, bath mat, shower and hair wash.The cloakroom has toilet roll provided as well as hand soap. In the kitchen you’ll find a tea towel, washing up liquid & sponge and hand soap. All of the toiletries provided at Re:treat are paraben free.
Wood: We’ll provide you with an initial supply of wood for the wood burning stove. Additional seasoned wood, as well as wood and charcoal for the firepit, can be purchased from the honesty box adjacent to the safari lodge.
Cooking: The wood burning stove is the hub of Re:treat and can be used for keeping the lodge warm on chillier evenings and as a traditional oven with its own hob. For times when you want a quick cup of tea, there is also a small camping stove as well as a whistling kettle and stove top coffee maker. For outside cooking you’ll find a tripod BBQ for cooking up a feast or toasting marshmallows. You will also find ground locally produced coffee from the Wooden Hill Coffee Company ready to brew up, in the Stovetop Expresso Maker.
Lights and power: Re:treat is off grid and is fitted with solar low-level lighting to light the main living areas. The solar powered hub for the lighting also has a USB charger which can be used for recharging phones etc. Re:treat also has a wide range of battery powered and solar lighting including LED lanterns and fairy lights. There is also a windup torch/lantern for guests’ use which also has a USB charger incorporated.
